Over the winter of 2006/7 we decided that we liked the railway but we wanted to integrate it into the garden.  We also decided it was time the reduce the maintenance required to keep the garden in order. 

We therefore took the plunge and committed ourselves to a reworking of the garden and a complete relay of the railway.

Everything was lifted and stacked and the work began.

We cleared the vegetable plot and started a water feature so that the trains will have something to go across. 

Sorted out the bridges and the viaduct locations.

Built a mountain so the spiral has something to go around

Sorted out the track routes and the track bed.
